Today, June 1, as the world celebrates Children’s Day, the “Children in Regions” (MEM) NGO celebrates its 7th anniversary.
Over these years, thanks to every person who has supported us, young people from Armenia’s regions now have countless opportunities to learn, grow, and develop right in their own communities.
Our achievements in numbers: 2,500+ young people from all regions of Armenia, Artsakh, and Javakhk have already participated in our educational and community programs. 230+ mentors from Armenia and the Diaspora have shared their experience and knowledge with young people. 340+ donated computers have helped young people gain access to digital opportunities, and 70% of recipients now have remote work opportunities. 3 generations of MEM Academy graduates and the MEM Alumni Community, whose members independently launch new and sustainable initiatives in their regions.
The past years have taught us one important lesson: when young people from the regions receive modern skills, technological resources, and an inspiring environment, they become the driving force behind the development of their communities.
From volunteering to remote employment, from forums to launching their own regional projects — this is the journey we are building together.
Our goals are even bigger. We envision that 10 years after joining MEM, every young person will have their own sustainable regional project that creates positive change in their community.
