“Children in Regions” (MEM) NGO is entering a new and more mature stage of development. Throughout our 7 years of work, we have always believed that young people living in Armenia’s regions have unlimited potential, which, with the right guidance and support, can transform the lives of their communities. Today, this belief has turned into a measurable and tangible result.
We are excited to announce that five young participants of our programs, aged 16–20 and representing different regions of Armenia, have joined MEM’s coordination teams and officially started working with the organization.
How does the model work?
Starting this month, young people have become involved in the coordination of various MEM programs on a part-time basis. They:
gain practical experience by working with MEM’s experienced and professional mentors, develop their coordination, organizational, and digital skills, receive their first symbolic salary of 40,000 AMD per month.
This is one of the greatest achievements of the MEM community. Young people who initially joined MEM to learn, grow, and acquire new skills are now becoming the driving force of the organization — creating and implementing new ideas in their own communities.
With this step, we are completing an important cycle: we do not only provide theoretical and practical knowledge, but also create real and sustainable employment opportunities in the regions, building predictable and stable foundations for young people’s professional growth.
We wish our new team members a productive and successful professional journey. We are confident that this is only the beginning, and the number of young people creating opportunities for themselves and their communities in Armenia’s regions will continue to grow.
